Hello! I'm Dezz, a cybersecurity student and enthusiast with a passion for ethical hacking and digital forensics. My goal is to leverage my skills to protect digital environments from threats. This portfolio is a living document of my journey, showcasing my projects, skills, and the knowledge I'm acquiring along the way.
When I'm not diving into security labs, you can find me exploring the latest tech trends or contributing to open-source projects.
Status: In Progress (Expected Completion: September 2025)
A simulated internal network scan. Click to see details.
Objective: To identify active hosts, open ports, and running services on a simulated internal network.
Tools Used: Nmap
Process: Conducted a TCP SYN scan (-sS) to stealthily check for open ports. Used service version detection (-sV) to fingerprint services and OS detection (-O) to identify the operating systems of the target machines. The findings were documented for a mock vulnerability assessment report.
A deep dive into a malicious email. Click to see details.
Objective: To dissect a phishing email to understand its attack vector and identify indicators of compromise (IOCs).
Tools Used: Email client, VirusTotal, DNS lookup tools.
Process: Analyzed email headers to trace the origin and path. Scrutinized the email body for deceptive language and suspicious links. The attached payload was safely detonated in a sandbox environment, and its hash was checked against threat intelligence databases. Key findings included spoofed sender addresses and a malicious macro in the attachment.
I'm always open to connecting with fellow security professionals and enthusiasts.
